citizenM Boston Back Bay

Location, location, location! In from Boston and this is where I will stay when I come back to visit again. Easy highway access and at the tip of all that Boston has to offer. The staff were very kind and helpful. The rooftop bar is the cherry on top! And definitely check out the Pink Carrot right below!

Friendly staff

This was a perfect location to walk and enjoy a Red Sox game at Fenway. It was walkable to many great restaurants and attractions. While the room was small, it was fine for the 2 of us spending 2 nights and basically just being provided a place to sleep. Loved the king bed!

I will book a Citizen M hotel from now on. I’ve stayed at the one in North Station and loved it there too. The rooms are great and the rooftop bar was the best I’ve been to at night.

This hotel is perfect if you plan to explore Boston and spend little time in the room. When you're there the bed is comfy, the blackout shades are other worldly (you should set an alarm because you won't know when the sun is up!), and the amenities and convenience is great. The smaller rooms are probably better for a solo traveler but I was in an accessible room because they weren't sold out and it would have been great for a couple.

Rooms were small and poorly laid out. Facility had no kind of small convenience store, or anything of that nature.

It was very hard to get to w all the one way streets and traffic

No Ice machine on the floors! That was inappropriate . And not give us cups!!! The hotel website says cups r available from the bars , but they were not. Servers said they don’t have cups. I wanted to buy a juice from the bar, and the bartenders said they don’t have any; then how to they mix drinks like screwdrivers, rum drinks, etc.?! That’s a lie. If there’s no water available then tell us on the website. And the rooms r very small but they say that on the website. they r clean. And quiet.

Location location to Fenway My high view was the side of a office building with people looking at me into my room.

The staff were exceptionally nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The location is wonderful, and I really enjoyed the hotel’s overall setup, design, and décor. The view from our room was simply WOW and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. I also really appreciated the convenience of being able to have Amazon deliveries sent to the hotel without additional charges or handling fees. This is a great service, especially for tourists and guests staying for an extended period. Another very positive point is the no-hold policy at check-in, which I found particularly appreciated as a tourist. For international travellers, especially those travelling with a limited annual travel allowance/budget, avoiding an additional temporary hold or deposit at check-in makes a real difference and makes the overall experience much easier. The main challenge for us was the room size. The room felt very small, particularly as I was travelling with my little one, we had several suitcases, and we stayed for two weeks. We also did quite a bit of shopping during our stay, which made the limited space even more challenging. I feel the hotel concept is particularly well suited to solo travellers or couples travelling light, perhaps for shorter stays or trips where guests do not need much storage space. For families or longer stays, having rooms that maintain the same smart, compact design but offer a little more space and a larger bathroom would make the experience much more comfortable.

Location is fantastic…. Close to Fenway and right on Newbury St. Rooms are very small and bed takes up the full window side of the room, so who every sleeps on that side has to crawl over the other if you have to go to the bathroom in the night.

Recently stayed at citizen m back bay for our first visit to Boston. The location was perfect. Staff were very helpful and the common spaces were awesome. Options for food and drink on site were really great as well! The room size left a lot to be desired. The bed pushed against the wall forced us to change our sleep configuration. We slept with our heads against the window( 45 degrees from the typical configuration). This made it easier to get up in the middle of the night without having to crawl over my partner and wake him up. No place to put our carryon bags other than on the floor which took up more space. Bathroom was way too tight. Unfortunate that these issues will likely prevent us from staying here again

Wonderful stay in a new and quirky hotel. The bed was absolutely fabulous and comfy and the location was so convenient to food and entertainment! If you are aware that the rooms and their bathrooms are tiny (like a cruise ship), then you will not be disappointed. The only improvements we would suggest are the need for an extra blanket in the room and softer towels.

Customer service is the worst! You can’t even get them to answer the phone. Terrible.
