Motel 6 Redding, CA - North

The room was extremely dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned prior to our visit.

there is a small pool about 14x20( not listed) my room's shower had a constant drip which was very loud when trying to sleep and no fresh towels at all during my 9 day stay ... cable tv was subject to interference every 10-15 mins while on. And there was a on going issues with calling out on the hotel phone ( no dial tone, calls failing to connect constat busy signals etc ) on the plus side: the bed had great back support ( i slept well) and the room smelled clean& fresh

Roaches seen. Staff not friendly, dismissive.

Front desk guy was very helpful and got us checked in quickly. The AC worked very well and the bed was comfy. I don't do alot of ratings and all we really look for is a clean place to sleep on our journies but the pictures online are not of this hotel. It's old and is in desperate need of TLC. The linens were clean, the floor and bathroom were clean but all the little nooks and crannies just felt and looked... dirty and unkept.  Our first room:  (non smoking) smelled like cigarette smoke, had a cigarette burn on the side table, the door didn't open properly from the inside and you REALLY had to work at it to open the door; the shower basin might have been painted at one point? But it was all peeling off and gave off the 'wear flipflops in here' vibe. The bathroom ceiling have visible water damage and the vent in to the room has... Seen better days.  Our second room: (again non smoking), didn't smell like smoke, hurray! The ceiling in the bathroom still has the same water damage; nooks and crannies all could use a clean but over all was better and closer to what was described in the photos. There was not much hot water for our showers. Overall - I wouldn't have booked that hotel if I had seen the accurate photos and I won't be booking again. To me, the rating of this hotel is too high

Great heating and cooling. Felt safe. Staff polite. Pet friendly. Quiet. Beds very comfortable. Nice pool. Adequate & welcoming for weary travelers Renovations were going on but didn’t particularly impact us.

My room was clean. Great deal for the price. Not all rooms have a microwave and refrigerator, but some do. So just be aware. Super convenient right off the interstate. But you do get a little bit of interstate noise if your room is in the back of the hotel.

Clerk was rude and not very helpful. Clerks, etc smoked by office door but told me I couldn't smoke on property. Couldn't park by my room. Bed was comfortable!

First off I paid in February and when I did it said my room was good for 5 people when I checked in they said only 4 to a room so I had to pay for another room and TV don't work

Room was very muggy as soon as A/C would turn off, mattress was super old and uncomfortable, sheets had stains on them. Found a cockroach in the room by the door. Would not recommend to use this hotel. It was last minute booking on my end, had no where else to go for one night. Lesson learned.
