The complimentary breakfast is pretty slim, basically just coffee and croissants.

Our stay was fantastic! The library theme is lovely and we enjoyed browsing through the many books throughout the property. The Reading Room on the second floor was lovely - we enjoyed the atmosphere, snacks, and beverages and very much appreciated their being available 24 hours. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout as well. The location in midtown is also extremely convenient for Grand Central, shows, Time Square, and an array of subway lines which made getting around the city a breeze.

This is my preferred hotel during my trips to New York. It’s clean, safe and has a very pleasant atmosfere. The area on the second floor, which has snacks, cold and hot drinks available at all hours of the day, is a delightful place to read book.

Would have liked to have dinner at the restaurant, however, the noise decibels were too much for our ancient ears.. next visit will try lunch.

We loved this hotel. The location right next to Grand Central Station was extremely convenient. We had a breakfast included with our four nights stay every morning and it was delicious. The snack coffee, etc. room on the second floor that was open 24 hours was super convenient and very appreciated. The rooftop bar with both inside and outside seating was frequented by us every day. Lol. The Service from bartenders Raoul and.Daniel was exemplary. Great guys!

Friendly staff. Good location by Grand Central Station, the NY Library, and Bryant Park. The Casablanca Hotel near Times Square is managed by the same company if you prefer that area. Similar price, better breakfast foods, slightly larger rooms I'm told, but Times Square is nightmarish to me.

Great hotel, perfect location.

Having worked in libraries when I was young and volunteered in a Nica library when I was old the name drew me to the hotel but also that it was on Madison Ave right by Bryant Park. Very cool without being hipster, yeah which means the hotel had a closet with plenty of hangers, drawers, the right amenities in addition to a great location, fantastic staff and yes lots of shelves with books. One floor not only had books but a piano with lots of drinks and snacks but also was opened 24/7. The "Rooftop" which was on my filters had an excellent creative comfortable design with a small menu for food and of course drinks, also had wonderful indoors spots. While with only 14 intimate floors you don't get the best sunsets but you get cracks between buildings and a pink sky above. I even found a book in the lobby of Magritte that was published in Spain and had photos of his paintings I had ever seen before. Not the icing on the cake but the candles to brighten my experience.

The personnel and location!

Always a pleasure to stay at Library Hotel! We not only enjoy the amenities, they are our reason for making LH our NYC home whenever we visit family and friends (stayed up way too late reading books I found in our room and in the lounge!). The location is perfect for us, near so many favorite places and restaurants, and convenient to the subway and Amtrak. Can't wait to come back soon!

The staff were genuinely warm, welcoming, and consistently went above and beyond. I had a chaotic day of cancelled flights and stormy weather and their reception truly turned it all around. One of my favorite touches was the Reading Room, with its endless supply of complimentary snacks and drinks surrounded by shelves of books.. such a perfect place to unwind after exploring the city. Though I didn't get to spend time in the restaurant or bar, they looked beautiful and the views were immaculate as the kids say. The location is another huge plus: close enough to walk to all the major sights, but tucked away just enough to escape the chaos of Times Square. It felt like a peaceful retreat in the middle of Manhattan, and right by the library and Bryant Park. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great stay. We want to come vack soon

Great hotel, stayed there for 3 nights, very central, accessible to all areas. Clean, helpful, quiet...I would stay again.

Fantastic hotel with an amazing staff. Great location, rooms comfortable with plenty of amenities. Will definitely stay here again.

I have to mention Abigail in reception. I can't thank her enough for letting us have our rooms much earlier than check in time for no extra cost. We'd arrived on an overnight flight from LA and were completely shattered. She was amazing. She was friendly, considerate and kind. Everything you wish a customer facing professional to be. The room itself was perfect. Big but homely with essential amenities. The lounge on level 2 was always open to guest and stocked with cold water, fruits and croissants as well as coffee and tea. Check out is at 1pm and the hotel will keep the luggage for you after checkout and help with taxis

The location of this hotel was great, with a lot of sites within walking distance and close to grand central train station to be able to take the subway to sites further afield. The staff was friendly and helpful, particularly with storing our luggage. The 2nd floor amenities offering water, pop and snacks was a nice addition and super convenient. The rooftop bar was lovely. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and overall quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff (front desk ) to the bell stand attendant are so friendly and helpful. We check in and immediately go up to rooftop bar. Great cocktails and food. Love the space up there. We got an upgrade with a small charge. Worth it. The rooms are a good size for a NY hotel. Sometimes boutique hotel rooms are so small. It is so convenient from Grand Central and a great 1/2 location for uptown downtown spots. 1 suggestion is they need to work on the Madison and Vine breakfast service. Food is delicious but service is slow and not sure if its a Sunday morning not enough staff thing, but this is the 2nd time we did breakfast there and there was tops 7 people in the restaurant including us and it took a long time. Only criticism. But honestly, will not stop us from going a third time because the food was really good. Will be back soon.
