Our stay at the Lost Pines resort was amazing. We will definitely be back. Everything from the property to the staff is excellent.

The staff were absolutely wonderful! We wished the pool was cleaned more, there was a lot of dead bugs we had to swim around. We did also find a live big roach in our room but luckily it was only one. Other than that the resort was great.

Lost Pines Resort is a sprawling resort that’s family friendly with lots to do right on site. Tucked away well off the main road it sits right next to the Colorado River and has fun activities planned everyday throughout the day and you’re always welcome to join. From roasting marshmallows over the fire with others to just testing your own axe throwing skills to having a leisurely day on the “lazy river” (IYKYK) there is something for everyone! Was there attending a wedding and it was the perfect venue for such an event. Friendly staff and hearty breakfast buffet made the stay all the better.

The setting. It’s showing its age. Carpet on our room was frayed.

The pool needs to be refurbished, the concrete is rough and hurts your feet. There are alot of black spots on the bottom, I assume they are algae. I also do not understand paying to park when they already charge so much for the stay.

The resort was incredibly family friendly. So many fun activities for the kids! (Movie night, smores, popsicles by the pool, snack station, bikes, etc.)

Been there many times and it is always a great stay. Very comfortable, clean and fun. All of the bars and restaurants are really good. We will be back.

Our biggest beef was with the pet policy. We paid extra for our dog and signed the pet agreement which included a dog bed, dog treats and dog bowl. We never received any of the above nor did they put the sign on the door stated in their own agreement notifying their staff a dog was staying within the room.

I also enjoyed how close we were to Austin proper. It was only a 30-40min drive into downtown. So we had the opportunity to enjoy some local restaurants. The one criticism I have was the paved walking trail. There was a recent rainstorm in the hill country which brought through a lot of mud. There were some parts of the path that were still completely caked in dirt with uneven walking surfaces. The areas were completely dried at this point but had not been cleared. There were also several areas where the grass and bushes had not been trimmed back, making it hard to navigate through the walkways. One area had an overhanging tree that had been knocked over. Overall enjoyed my experience and am marking Lost Pines as a resort to visit again.
