no hangers in room had to request and only got 2 after request no small bath towels in room. I ask for cups for my wife and I was given only one cup. can you believe that what more need be said.

The air conditioning was nice but loud. For breakfast the first day was milk and cereal and the second day was nothing at all. Staff was nice and the location was easy to walk to the walk of fame.

We picked the hotel because it said it had breakfast. They literally only put out sliced white bread. No jelly or butter, just bread. We were there a week and on a couple occasions there was also a sugary child's cereal but that's it. Do not assume there is a breakfast. Also, wifi doesn't go over 1mbps so don't rely on their wifi for anything. One morning employee had good hospitality and service but outside of him, don't expect anyone to help you.

Once you arrive, you have to wait for someone to unlock the door and let you in. The parking area is located where I would not feel comfortable leaving my car overnight, yet they still charge $30 per day for parking. The parking situation along with the front desk manger made me decide not to check in, but unfortunately I still had to pay for the stay. I also would not consider this a place family friendly nor would I let the kids walk around the neighborhood by themselves.

Parking is not free, it has an additional cost

First, know this: there is no Continental breakfast. It's literally why we chose the place. They put out only sliced white bread the first morning. No butter, no jelly. Some mornings they had a sugary child's cereal and no bread and sometimes a mix. We were there 9 nights and paid $1.5k and not once was the internet consistent. When tested it never got up to 1 MB/s and that's if it connected at all. I brought it up on 6 occasions and was spoken down to and patronized. When we asked for room service they made the bed but same sheets (we know because the same cigarette burn hole was in the same sheet in the same place). I was accused of not paying for parking when I flew in and took an Uber and when I explained this, the woman flat out didn't believe me and acted like I lied. The manager, whoever he is, clearly needs therapy. The employees are so limited in what they can help with. It's a toxic work environment that bleeds out and is unprofessional. We never once met this "man behind the curtain", but as someone who has spent a lifetime working in events and hospitality, he needs a different profession. We are currently getting better service at a motel at half the cost. New management is necessary for this place to succeed.

They could not provide us with 2 access keys to re-enter the property and our room. Parking was atrocious. They wanted $30 per day to park in an unsecured dirty lot. There were homeless people walking around as well as hookers walking between the cars on her phone. The room was tiny and the bed made noises when lying down. Pillows were flat. The AC was broken and made loud noises as it was trying to pump cool air that never came. Asked for amenities that any motel would provide and all we were given were 2 towels; no wash or face towels. When I asked for those amenities, I was given 2 different types of wash cloths and in place of soap, I was given packets of shampoo. On last day, there was a huge cockroach that came from behind the knob to turn on/ off the water in the shower. Upon looking up in the shower, there were clusters of spiderwebs and saw a spider crawling up the wall. Complained to lady at front desk and all could say is sorry and she’ll have someone look into my concerns. We will never stay there again or recommend this motel. This was anything but VIP. Definitely do not stay in room 101 in the lobby.

cockroaches, cops ran through

It was a horrifying nightmare....the place was so dirty. Bed bugs everywhere and I ended up in hospital from hive reaction to bites. No amenities, 💯 false advertising. I had to change hotels and the owner Lilly had a 444.00 credit already paid. She booked me in West inn hotel and jipped the credit balance paying less 316..00 for new reservations same amount if days...this hotel smells like urine..bed bugs triple here and worse then her hotel. I have 2 heart conditions and asthma. And she did that to me. I'm being bitten so bad here my foot is swollen and reaction happening again. What a horrible thing to do to a person. Knowing paramedics came when I had it happen at her hotel. Paramedics saw the bugs too. She's probably re renting the room with no intention of treating it. Calling health Dept and also suing her soon!!!!!

It’s budget hotel amenities.

I could hear everything in the room, from the hotel. Unable to sleep at all!!! No ice, the staff was asleep so I had to leave everything at the desk. He was completely out tried waking him up unable to succeed. It was steps away from the walk of fame, which that was good.

Everything about this

Excellent hotel for excellent price. Great friendly service. Clean and quiet.

The owner of the hotel is so stressed from her terribly run establishment that she will hold your deposit for an indefinite amount of time and gas light you about it because she's too broke to just do a 2 day return like every other hotel. Staff are severely on edge and stressed. I had to spend an hour just getting my deposits back and still cannot find the last one for our stay. Hallway is loud. Homeless people on the street. And good staff are treated like children. This woman personally tried to manipulate me into giving her a review while staying there and feeling completely disregarded as a paying customer when it came to actual accommodations. Wifi does not work in all areas and the inappropriate words 'notyourwifi' is used for the public wifi. When my husband asked about why the wifi didn't work, the staff went absolutely hysterical and blamed my husband for being angry and aggressive. This location is also not safe for children as there are all granite countertops, as I hit my head and actually split my brow on this incredibly dangerous furniture while simply leaning over to grab something during the night. Air conditioner work selectively and it's most likely you will be in a humid room and then also be gaslit about it. Showers leak due to poor design so be careful not to slip on the floor. Constant phone ringing in lobby and doors shut loudly. Whether neglect or willfully avoidance, this place is a garbage dump.

Couldn't find this hotel. Waste of money
-
The hotel was ill maintained. One of the power outlets had no power. The air conditioner fan stopped working on the second day of our stay, resulting in the room temperature being over 92 degrees. We asked the front desk for help, but we received no repair service and could not change rooms.
-
Location and comfortable bed There was a smell outside that lingered inside at times but overall was okay.
-
I like it was close to Hollywood walk The back door slammed shut all night. The ice Machine did not work. The Free Breakfast was one gallon of milk & two boxes of cereal for the entire hotel to share. Nothing else.

location and price are what gets you there. what makes you stay is finding this historic gem in good shape, kept up nicely, a decent clean room-- all the basics are just fine and that's all you're paying for. 1-ply toilet paper. that's it, seriously, everything else about the Hollywood VIP Hotel is just fine. be mindful of the crackheads in the alley-- they don't come on the property, but if you're out back grabbing a smoke, just be aware.
