very loud wedding party across the room, couldnt sleep all noght as they were loud until 2:30-3AM. I wish hotel would've done something for us considering the inconvenience. Called front staff probably 2-3 times that night, all I wanted was a quiet sleep!

Simply beautiful and perfect location.

The staff was always friendly, welcoming and supportive in promptly addressing our requests. Joseph, an extraordinary valet, immediately made us feel welcome and reinforced what a great decision we made to stay at the Washington Duke Hotel. Rather than keeping us waiting, he would often jog down to the valet parking area to retrieve our vehicle without delay. He arranged shuttle transportation to and from the Duke Health clinic and saved us the time and aggravation of parking our personal vehicle in a busy and overcrowded parking building. We will stay at this hotel on our next visit and look forward to our interactions with Joseph once again.

The hotel was lovely, welcoming and well equipped . The staff was very helpful from the front desk to the bell desk to the restaurant staff. Everyone was courteous and accommodating . They even provided a shuttle service to the medical facility which was very helpful as my husband wouldn’t have been able to walk from the parking lot. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. The food was great too! Definitely would return to this hotel.

Indoor pool was wonderful

It is a really beautiful hotel and the room was well-appointed, but it is in serious need of a refresh, and it wasn't the room we booked. We got in very late, and the situation was handled satisfactorily by the next morning, but there was no explanation of how our reserved room ended up given to someone else. The bigger issue I saw was that things just need to be redone. Multiple people in our party had trouble with the tv remotes, because they were so worn the buttons didn't work. One of the two elevators in our wing was out of service all weekend. The halls looked a little worn. Nothing huge, but overall, lots of little details like that gave us the impression they need to update everywhere. Food at breakfast was good. Food at the event we attended there was average.

The restaurant food was excellent, the room was cleaned quickly, and staff helpful and warm.

Welcoming, comfortable and clean. Will be back.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our recent weekend stay at the Washington Duke. The hotel grounds are elegant, the hotel beautifully furnished, and the staff are all very courteous and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable king bed. The breakfasts were excellent, and we also enjoyed an evening at the bar watching the NBA championship game. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning!

The WaDu has two challenges these days. The room rate has gone way up, presumably to fund the recent improvements. But there is a lot of deferred maintenance in the rooms and room hallways. For example, in my room, the lamp finial didn’t tighten and the leather on the desk chair was very worn. This is expected at $250 a night, not at $450.

Clean room, staff is professional coffee is hot, and bar/restaurant delivers.

Beautiful property, vert well kept Only complaint is the fact that they advertise a mini bar in the room and our room had a locked, empty refrigerator…no mini bar

Service in bar area was bad. Waiter was slow and couldn’t get order straight
