We had an upgraded room with an amazing view of the lake, museums and the park. The staff were ok but really indifferent and the facilities are older.

The location is great. If you are 60+ you would love it. But the is historical and then there is outdated and old and unfortunately this was outdated and old. It does not feel like a luxury hotel. Next time I will stay somewhere else. It is the same pricing of much nicer and newer luxury hotels in the area. old in a not so great way. I love architecture and history but this place has been made much effort in updating in ways that still makes for a great experience. Severly outdated to the point the place felt dead.

The room was spacious and well-appointed. The view of the park and lake were fabulous. Housekeeping was superb. The staff was available and attentive. The workout room was large and well-equipped. There is no breakfast area, except a coffee shop in the lobby. But the mammoth Hilton is across the street, so we could always get what we needed. Indeed, the Blackstone had all the services of a 5 star hotel with personal warmth that is unavailable at a larger facility.

The hotel is incredibly decorated and high quality. If you are using the L train, the closest station is about 5-6 blocks away.

It was a great experience staying at the Blackstone. Super convenient and close to a lot of attractions. Easy access in and out. The staff were kind and very accommodating. The cleaning crew was on point everyday. Shout out to the restaurant there also! They were amazing! We would definitely would stay again!

Overall found this to be overpriced for what it was. Our reservation wasn’t ready, towels were small and scratchy (we kept having to ask for more despite having a reservation for 4). Important things were clean (sheets, bathroom) but dusty lamps, felt like the clean had been rushed. For the cost, I just don’t think this hotel is worth it. Staff are professional and helpful.

Potentially the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in nothing is nice except of you

The staff were wonderful and the only problem we can mention is that we don’t know when we will have a chance to return. Thank you!

The location was perfect for my first time to Lollapalooza. My room was spacious and had the most magnificent view! The only thing I wished they had was a ramp at the hotel entrance instead of just a few flight of stairs. It was difficult for me to bring up my luggage up the stairs and through two doors to get to the lobby. I understand that this was a busy week for them but no one approached me to help.😩

Clean and spacious room! Food and beverages were great too!

Great location albeit with expensive car parking charges across the street. A nice hotel in a historic building. Room size was okay, bathroom and shower nice and clean. Overall a decent stay during our trip to Chicago. A special thank you to Sheema at reception who made a real effort for our 6 year old son.

Passable

The location is excellent for visiting the Art Institute, the Field Museum, and many other Chicago attractions. Our room was sparkling clean, comfortable, and wonderfully quiet, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay. Although we didn't have a lake view, we could see the Sears Tower rising above the Chicago skyline from our window. Perhaps ours wasn't a room with a lake view, but it certainly wasn't a room without a view. Our only complaint was about the front desk service. When we checked in, we were not offered the complimentary bottled water. When I asked about breakfast, the staff member simply replied, "We don't have breakfast service," without mentioning the executive lounge or any other dining options. In addition, the destination charge was never explained to us. We almost missed the $25 daily credit because we didn't realize it was available until we reviewed our receipt and asked about it. Fortunately, our friend knew how the destination charge worked, so we were able to use it for two tickets to the Chicago History Museum and a $12 credit for snacks and drinks at the café.

Enjoyed our short stay. Room was nice. Very roomy and set up for both work and relaxation. Do wish the bed had a couple more pillows but otherwise very happy with our experience.
