The Box House Hotel

Hotel was great and location is excellent...felt safe and easy to walk around there...only minor complaint was the lighting in the bathroom was really way too low to get makeup on, etc....It seems to be a current hotel trend that I would love to see changed.

This unique hotel is our hotel of choice when visiting NYC. While admittedly off the beaten path, the hotel about 15 minutes away from midtown by walking and public transit. The vibe of the hotel is special and we love it. Breakfasts are excellent. Choose this hotel if you want something special away from the hustle and bustle of midtown.

Great staff and facility. The Saturday night roof party disrupted our sleep. I suggest if you are a weekend traveler you insist on a room away from the third floor just below the fourth floor dance floor.

Have stayed multiple times, never disappointed. Appreciate the small details. As an example, I’m a tea drinker. Love that there’s an electric tea pot and not just a coffee machine in the room, as well as a good selection of tea bags. Seems minor, but find it’s very thoughtful. Rooms are quiet and clean. Have stayed in many of their options, from terrace suites to standard queen rooms. Never an issue in any of them. With family here in the neighborhood, I’ll be back often.

Great amazing staff at the front desk and super fun and cool hotel

My two night stay at The Box House was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and I enjoyed the view from the balcony. It's conveniently located for just about anything you need in Greenpoint, and was a great home base for a couple of days. The service was also great. Kristina in particular was phenomenal. I had a flower I needed to transport, and she creatively assembled everything I needed to travel home with it safely in my bag - truly went above and beyond!

After explaining and also providing the airline email of cancelation due to mechanical issues with the hotel proof of a mechanical issue they still refused to refund. Expedia even tried helping and they also refused expedia's claim. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as they are not at all caring

Breakfast is the thing that sets this this hotel apart. A wonderful breakfast every morning. The location is also really nice. Easy to get around. A short walk to the subway.

This is our second time staying at the Box house hotel and we can’t wait to be back !

Couple of suggestions : open the bar on the top floor not sure why it was closed Breakfast - start early at least 7am

We paid for a suite and it smelled like cigarettes even tho it was a non smoking room

Helpful and friendly staff!

Most of the stuff where great, the front desk manager was horrible. Location is very bad. No transportation around. We asked to stay only one night instead of two but the front office manager insisted to take 100% cancellation fee and spoke to us ln an ugly language.

Personal muy atento y servicial. 100% recomendado!

Great rooms. Cute hotel. Reasonable prices. Nice and clean. It's a bit of a walk to the subway, but we didn't mind that. Good coffee shops and restaurants nearby on Manhattan Ave and Franklin. The staff seemed a little overloaded when we got there and they were having some private event on the rooftop which was loud from our room.
