My husband and I decided to book a stay here from Thursday, August 13th, until Sunday, August 16th, to celebrate our anniversary. The first night we were there, our neighbors were yelling very loudly from the time we arrived on Thursday early evening, until around 7:30 Friday morning. Needless to say, we got no sleep at all. We did inform the receptionist the next morning and asked for a refund so that we could find a different hotel, but the receptionist conveyed to us that there was no manager on site as of yet. After going to eat breakfast at a nearby Waffle House, we decided to stick it out because we assumed that things would improve. (I should add that we went to eat at Waffle House after being deceived into believing that we would be receiving a continental breakfast during our three night stay, which was obviously false.) Luckily, those guests checked out on Friday. Then, on Friday evening, we decided to enjoy the loungers around the pool to talk and relax. That was around 8:00 in the evening. Shortly after we got comfortable on the loungers enjoying each other’s company, we started to smell the very strong odor of marijuana. I walked to the service desk and complained to the receptionist, even gave her a description of who was smoking, but nothing was done. I should also mention that there were children in the pool at the time. We headed back to our rooms and at least did get a quiet night’s sleep.
